A Story of One Patient Taking Lisinopril (Part I)

At present, Lisinopril is widely utilized to treat such medical conditions as heart attacks and other related disorders, hypertension, and so on. However, its intake is connected with a wide range of side effects that can be quite dangerous. These ones include liver damage. There is one unfortunate story of a female patient who was diagnosed of having angioedema (this health condition can be even life-threatening), which was the direct result of taking Lisinopril for a long time. This fact was stated and proven by hospital doctors.

This woman started to use this drug long years ago, in 2001. At that time she was diagnosed to have hypertension and simply wanted to improve this health condition. “I’ve been taking this medication for several years and felt quite good. But then my blood pressure became out of control. This is when my physician prescribed me to increase the dosage of Lisinopril from 10 mg to 40.” Besides, she mentioned to her doctor that she has swollen gums, because she through it was one of side effects resulted by the intake of this drug.
